Privacy notice

BEE-OPTECH4Honey processes only the personal data needed to provide secure, institution-based access to the platform.

Data we process

Account data (name, e-mail address, language and theme preferences), membership applications (institution, type and purpose of beekeeping, years of experience, optional colony count, region and note), notifications, and security records such as sign-in events and IP addresses.

Why we process it

Data is used to verify your identity, let institutions review membership applications, deliver notifications and protect the platform against misuse. National identity numbers are not collected.

How we protect it

Passwords are stored as salted hashes, authenticator keys are encrypted and recovery codes are stored only as one-way hashes. Data access is restricted to your institutions and enforced on the server.

How long we keep it

Read notifications are deleted after 180 days, delivered e-mail records after 30 days, and e-mail contents immediately after delivery. Audit records are retained for up to seven years for accountability.

Your rights

You can view and correct your profile at any time. For access, correction or deletion requests, contact your institution or the platform administrators.

This notice describes the processing performed by the platform software. The operating institution is responsible for the legal notice applicable to its deployment.
